Christmas Eve and Christmas

A different kind of a Christmas.  We slept in, enjoyed several coffees on the deck and then headed out around noon for lunch.

Bonafacios for lunch

An incredibly beautiful setting

The best table

The most delicious meal we've had yet - shrimp, steak and
chicken molcajete and salad!

We took a walk out to the little island off the jetty after
lunch.  That's the restaurant on the left.

We stumbled our way through the slippery
rocks and tide pools and survived!  Boo, of
course, had no problem.

That evening we were invited to Joe and Margene's to enjoy some really special appetizers and fabulous fresh mandarin margaritas.  It was the perfect place to see the start of the Boat Parade.

Their house is so beautiful and especially
so when it is decorated for Christmas.

The boats were just fabulous to watch parade by.

Afterwards we went to an open house at a neighbor's where we saw the boats take off for Charlie's Rock on the other side of the bay.  As it was alot darker then, the pictures did not come out well.  Suffice it to say that it was a gorgeous old Mexican mansion with a gazillion rooms, inside and out, beautifully landscaped grounds and a fantastic view.

The man who lives here, Walt, creates all this beautiful
iron work.

After that party, a few hold outs came to our house for a fire and some carrot cake.

Christmas morning.  It took us exactly 10
minutes to open the 2 gift boxes under the tree :-)

Boo's present was a great run on the beach.

Beautiful blue

Check out that sparkling water!
The birds knew it was Christmas and gave us a great present -
mucho of them.

A little relaxation

A margarita, a beer and a fabulous dinner at the San Carlos
Bar at the Embarcadero

And a view of the boats, still lit up from last night

We missed our family terribly, but it was a perfectly wonder-full day!
