Downtown Alamos consists of narrow streets, many stores (selling we know not what), a glorious market and lots of Mexican people shopping, relaxing in the plaza, going to church and playing with their families.

| The Museum downtown had a great exhibit on the mining history of the area. |
We wanted to go to Charisma for dinner but it was closed for the night. The owner told us to go next door to the Tesoros Hotel where they had the same chef. It was a delightful place and we had it all to ourselves.

We hated to leave but the ocean was calling us home. We came home through the back roads of Empalme where men were going up to cars, holding what turned out to be whole live shrimp that were huge. Everyone says that is the place to buy fresh fish in that area, but we were a little squeamish when we saw them dangling in front of us. Should have gotten my camera out sooner!
We arrived home in time to attend a Christmas party potluck party by Seaside Realty. Karen Stewart has a gorgeous courtyard at her house, just perfect for entertaining.
