One of Susan's favorite things to do is take a daily swim at our little cove beach which is very private and just a short walk (1/2 hour) away. I even got in the water on this day, although I was in and out in a matter of minutes.

The Soggy Peso is a great place for a beer or margarita and some guacamole while watching the kite boarders or enjoying the beach.

We popped next door one night to listen to the lovely Lorena sing Mexican and American songs.

Every Wednesday there is an indoor/outdoor mercado in downtown Guaymas. Jim stayed at home to get caught up on his Spanish lessons and pay bills, while the three of us went into Guaymas for a little shopping and then to tour the Pearl Farm.

| Susan and I "do" the mercado in Guaymas-Mexican balloon man entertains the kids just like in Boulder. |
After Guaymas, I took them to Miramar to tour the Pearl Farm and then to get lunch at the Hotel de Cortez.

When Rachelle and Gary were in Boulder this past summer, they brought a friend of theirs, Cindy Nugent, to grab a drink with Steve Hollis and the ladies group at the Rio Grande. Cindy and I hit it off right away. She lives in San Carlos several months out of the year, lives with her son in Lafayette some of the time, and travels around the world much of the rest of the time-lucky girl! She is off to South America and we probably won't see her til next year in San Carlos, if not Boulder. She had us, a wonderful couple we met on the beach-Karen and Jim, a couple who just came to town from Durango- Ken and Mary Ellen and Ruth, Joe and Margene (Super Bowl host and hostesses) for a good-bye party. We had a fabulous time-great food, great conversation, great friends.
