There is now an open mic event at Tortuga's, which is right down the street from us. Local musicians bring their instruments and/or their voices and perform for the crowd. It reminded us of the old hootenanny days at The Cellar Door.
Later that day there was a party for Julia, one of our favorite local beach sellers who just graduated from high school.

Manuelito provided the wonderful Mexican music that
played throughout the neighborhood right around the
corner from us. |
 |
| She was just radiant! |
We finally made it to Delfine's Teppanyaki table later that week with friends, Mary Ellen and Ken Morrow, Margene and Joe, and Dee and Karen. It was excellent-very much like a Benihana, Mexican style-and we had a great time, though sadly, no pictures.

| This is my yoga class. Can you imagine a better location?! |

I had to take a picture of this. Found this in a yard up in
the Ranchitos. Hmmm.... |

David Sheehy from Phoenix (on the right) was in town
for the weekend. We caught a little of his show Friday
night. He sings alot of our favorites from the 70s. And,
he asked Susan to join him on the steel pans. She was
pretty tired after playing all afternoon with Assterisko. |
We went over to Karen and Jim Eakes for drinks and sunset viewing before a lovely dinner at Piccolo's, our first time there. The food was excellent, even if the owner reminds us a little of the soup Nazi from Seinfeld.
Gay, Jim, Bill and Regan all had birthdays this month. We celebrated with another beach party.

Mary is a big hot dog fan and so is Boo-
he eventually got his own. Check out
that hopeful look on his face! |

| Not too shabby a bonfire |

We tried flying a Japanese lantern but it never
did take off. A beautiful site though! |
And a celebration at the Palapa at Totanaka RV Park for the release of Dave Burks and the Jus4Fun Band's new CD, Where the Water Meets the Sand.
