We roped off the street and decided to have a Semana Santa of our own-a block party with dogs. We all brought chairs and set up right in the middle of the street between Selena's house and ours.

It was an impossible task to get all the dogs together
as they had free reign of the neighborhood and were
very busy running all over the place. |

David and Susan, Josh, Maya and Chabali arrived about midday on Easter Sunday. We had a great Mexican Easter dinner of tacos, deviled eggs, beans and all the fixings complete with brownies and tres leche cake. The kids and some of the older Zoias had a grand time in the pool. Only this picture of Susan came out.
We went out later to the Soggy Peso. Such a different scene today--mostly Mexican families and the water was filled with sailboats, speed boats, skidoos and swimmers.

On Monday, the kids and Susan and Josh snorkeled in Shangra La Bay and then we went out to San Francisco Beach for a bonfire and a swim. It''s hot!

Boo doesn't know what to do with himself. He herds the
waves and tries to keep us all from drowning in the water
by barking and nipping at us. Whatever are we to do
with him! We finally tied him up to my chair-poor baby!

Everyone helped collect wood from up near
Nacapule Canyon and that was enhanced by what
we could find at the beach. |

We bought some Chinese sky lanterns in
Guaymas but couldn't get it going. It eventually
burned up. We hope to perfect our technique
and try again. |
