Jason's Birthday Cruise

One of our favorite things to do here is to watch the dolphins play-we either see them while we are at the beach, kayaking, watching from our balcony or - BEST OF ALL, on a cruise.  So, for Jason's 40th birthday, we rented the Hattie Annie with a few friends and took their famous sunset cruise to see if we could find the resident dolphins.

Leaving the marina, admiring the yachts

That's the Marinaterra Hotel in the background

Pals, Bobby and Billy

How'd you like a ride on this one?

Pelicans everywhere wishing us a good journey

Our condos from last year with the mountains behind

This was Win and Cinda's little beach.

Indian Head Rock

Christmas Island-guess what makes it so white?

The best looking boy on board

The Captain, daughter and granddaughter

Cheryl and Bill

Leslie and Kathy-newly found cousins

Right out of a movie!

Kids were throwing them tortillas.

A rainbow portends good fortune.

A perfect night

Butts over the bow portending good
dolphin watching

Feeling very lucky

Suddenly we see clouds on the horizon and it
starts to pour.

Nothing can stop the joy!

However, someone is happy just to be kept warm in a towel.

The sun sets behind the Tetakawis and we head home.

But not before spotting our house-the third row up,
the green one in the middle

This view of our house shows the mountain backdrop behind us.

Araceli made a delicious chocolate cake, we sang birthday songs, decked ourselves out with birthday hats and celebrated Jason's birthday in style in Martini Cove.  We celebrated afterwards with dinner at Palapa Griega with the Just4Fun Band entertaining us and then crawled home into bed after a very full day!
